Transaction:<\/b> Purchase amount, Merchant Name, Date\/Time\n \n \n Points calculation, reward allocation. Location<\/b> Geolocation at time of purchase\n \n \n Verifying transaction validity, marketplace analysis. 
Technical<\/b> Device ID, IP Address, OS Version\n \n \n Security, app functionality, bug fixes.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION <\/b>\n
We process your data for the following specific purposes: 
3.1 Service Delivery:<\/b> To operate your 5-BOB Virtual Wallet,\naward Points, 5-BOB Mobile rewards and process redemptions. 
3.2 Security & Fraud:<\/b> To detect unusual activity,\nprevent abuse, and secure our systems. 
3.3 Communication:<\/b> To send transactional alerts\n(e.g. Points earned) and, with consent, marketing offers. 
3.4 Marketplace Analysis (Important):<\/b>\n
We\n analyse purchase patterns, location trends, and demographic data to understand\n consumer behaviour.
Anonymisation:<\/b> For analysis purposes, data is aggregated and anonymised so that you\n cannot be personally identified.
Insights:<\/b> These insights help us improve the Service and provide merchants with\n trend reports (e.g. \"Spending in Cape Town, in specific area, increased by 10%\").
Opt-Out:<\/b> You may object to your data being used for non-essential analytics by\n contacting [privacy@5ivebob.com].<\/span>\n
3.5 Legal Compliance:<\/b> To comply with tax laws (SARS),\nregulatory requirements, and legal processes.

4. LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING<\/b> 
Under POPIA, we process your data based on: Consent:<\/b> You explicitly agreed during registration.
Contract:<\/b> Processing is necessary to fulfil the 5-BOB loyalty agreement (e.g., giving you 5-BOB Loyalty Points, and or 5-BOB data rewards).
Legitimate\n Interest:<\/b> For security, fraud prevention, and business analytics,\n provided your rights are not overridden.
Legal\n Obligation:<\/b> Where required by South African law.

5. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION<\/b> 
We do not sell your Personal Information. We may share data\nwith: 
5.1 Approved Vendors:<\/b> Only necessary data to verify usage and redemption eligibility. 
5.2 Service Providers:<\/b> Third parties who assist\nus (e.g., marketing competitions, cloud hosting, SMS gateways, payment processors, ,etc.). They are bound by\nconfidentiality contracts. 
5.3 Legal Authorities:<\/b> If required by law,\ncourt order, or to protect safety. 
5.4 Business Transfers:<\/b> In the event\nof a merger or sale, data may be transferred to the new owner under similar\nprivacy protections.

6. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFER<\/b> 
6.1 Your data is primarily stored in South Africa. 
6.2 If we\nuse cloud services hosted outside South Africa (e.g., servers in Europe or\nUSA), we ensure adequate protection measures are in place (e.g., standard\ncontractual clauses) as required by POPIA Section 72. <\/span>\n

7. DATA RETENTION<\/b> 
7.1 We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary\nfor the purposes listed in Section 3. 
7.2 Transactional Data:<\/b> Retained\nfor 5 years to comply with tax laws. 
7.3 Analytics Data:<\/b> Raw data used\nfor analytics is anonymised after [24 months]. Anonymised data may be kept\nindefinitely. 
7.4 Upon account deletion, we will remove your Personal\nInformation unless legally required to retain it.

8. SECURITY SAFEGUARDS<\/b> 
8.1 We implement technical measures (encryption, firewalls,\naccess controls) to protect your data. 
8.2 Sensitive Information:<\/b> Your\nSA ID Number is stored with enhanced security protocols, only for purposes of allocation of points converted to cash, 5-BOB Mobile registration and rewards as per RICA (Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-Related Information Act) Act 70 of 2002.
8.3 Breach\nNotification:<\/b> In the event of a data breach compromising your safety, we\nwill notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.

9. YOUR POPIA RIGHTS<\/b> 
As a Data Subject, you have the right to: 
9.1 Access:<\/b> Request a copy of the Personal\nInformation we hold about you. 
9.2 Correction:<\/b> Request correction of\ninaccurate or incomplete data. 
9.3 Deletion:<\/b> Request deletion of your\ndata (\"Right to be Forgotten\"), subject to legal retention\nrequirements. 
9.4 Objection:<\/b> Object to processing based on legitimate\ninterests (e.g., direct marketing or analytics).
